Forrest, the little finger puppet squirrel, clung tightly to his tiny stuffed acorn, refusing to let anyone else near it. The other toys at Home Again Toys often asked if they could play with it, but Forrest would always squeak, “It’s mine!” One day while on an adventure Forrest dropped his precious acorn. A gust of wind blew it across the room, straight into the paws of Pip, the stuffed mouse. Pip smiled and offered it back, saying, “It’s a nice acorn—you’re lucky to have it!” Forrest blinked, surprised that someone would return it without taking it for themselves. Feeling a twinge of guilt, he said, “Thanks, Pip. Would you like to play with it for a while?” From then on, Forrest learned that sharing didn’t mean losing—it meant gaining friends.
